Khandela is an ancient town previously ruled
by various dynasties of Rajput clans.
Raja Raisal of the Shekhawati clan of Rajputs established his reign over the
region of Shekhawati with Khandela being its capital (1538–1615 AD) and his
descendants ruled the state till Indian independence. The owners of
Khandela Haveli are the 17th and 18th generation descendants of Raja Raisal.
